Through the generous 1989 gift of the artist Edmond DeLavy (1916-1989), the Sandoval County Historical Society has the DeLavy House as a meeting space and home for our extensive archives. Most of our programs are held at DeLavy House.
The DeLavy House is located in Bernalillo, New Mexico, on the north side of US 550. It lies west of the Rio Grande between the Santa Ana Star Casino on the west and the road to Coronado State Monument on the east; see the map of the surrounding area. The physical address is 151 Edmond Road, Bernalillo, New Mexico 87004.

If
you are driving from the town of Bernalillo or the
east side of Albuquerque, you will be traveling east-to-west on
US 550. You will have driven across the Rio Grande and past the entrance to
Coronado State Monument. There is no street sign for
Edmond Road. Instead, look for the Phillips 66/Warrior Plaza gas station and
convenience store on the right of the hiway and turn into either of their
two driveways. Continue to the northwest corner of the Phillips 66 station
where you will see the sign pointing to "Sandoval County Historical Society";
see photo above left. Follow the dirt road and DeLavy House house will be
at the end of the road on the right.

If
you are driving from Rio Rancho or the west side
of Albuquerque, you will be driving west-to-east on US 550. There
is no street sign for Edmond Road. Instead, look for the Phillips 66/Warrior
Plaza gas station/convenience store on the north (left side) of US 550; see
photo to right. In the photo on the upper left, the entrance to Coronado State Monument is faintly visible; if
you pass it, you have gone too far east. At
the northwest corner of the Phillips 66 station, look for the sign that says
"Sandoval County Historical Society". Follow the gravel road and
DeLavy House house will be at the end of the road on the right.
